Machinist / Fitter Turner - 4th year apprentice

•	Day Shift
•	Monday to Friday
•	38 hrs per week
•	7.30am to 3.36pm
•	Machining experience with either milling or lathe
•	$30 PER HOUR

Experience using manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinding, cylindrical grinding etc. – Ideally someone that is on their 4th year apprentice  or recently completed - Trade Certificate in First Class Machining or Fitting and Turning

·       Must be able to read and interpret Engineering and Machining Drawings.
·       Accurately read and work with both metric and imperial measurements.
•	Work consistently to manufacture parts on time and with a high standard of finish and accuracy.
•	Check all work at every stage of production to ensure parts are made correctly to QA standards.
•	Focus on maintaining and/or improving productivity and efficiency.
•	Actively assess quality control procedures with a view to reducing errors and rejected parts.
•	Self-manage time effectively.
•	Plan jobs so that materials are used efficiently and with minimal waste.
•	Keep machines and work areas clean and well maintained.


· High attention to detail
· Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
· Experience with either Milling or Lathe or any other CNC Machines 
· Be versatile to undertake various tasks
· Work diligently with minimum supervision.
· Demonstrate the ability of working with all materials: plastics, stainless steels, mild steels, brass, aluminium etc.


•	Australian recognised Trade Certificate in First Class Machining or Fitting and Turning or in the process of completing 
Experience working with plastics, stainless steels, brass, aluminium etc. advantage 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Rate  $30.00 per hour
