About the Role

Our Client is seeking a 2nd/3rd year apprentice chef with grill experience. You will be working 38 hours per week  ( 5 days ) Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster. This will included one day at TAFE. You will be required to work in a team environment and work closely with the qualified chefs. You will have experience on the Grill.   

As a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice chef you will be required to complete a Certificate III in commercial cookery Course Code: SIT30816.  

Your roles and responsibilities may include but not limited to: 

Grill
Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
Work effectively with others
Use food preparation equipment
Prepare dishes using basic methods of cookery
Prepare appetisers, salads, stocks, sauces and soups
Cook food to meet special dietary requirements
Work effectively as a cook
Clean kitchen premises and equipment
Plan and cost basic menus
Use hygienic practices for food safety

About You

The position requires someone who has completed their 1st and/or 2nd year of their apprenticeship and is looking for a company that will grow and develop them into an amazing chef. You should have Grill experience, willing to learn how to put quality food on every single plate, have a keen eye for detail, ability to maintain food safety standards and also have a hands on attitude. Excellent team work skills and reliability are essential for this position. You must be a permanent resident or Australian Citizen and committed to completing a 3 year apprenticeship.
