Pastry Cook - 1st year apprentice

A bakery, located in Richmond, offering fresh pastries and traditional croissants, is currently seeking a enthusiastic apprentice to join their team.

As an apprentice you will learn the skills enabling you to cook, mix, bake, fill, ice and decorate all kinds of cakes and pastries. Pastrycooks may perform the following tasks: 

• load and unload mixture into ovens using tins and trays 

• operate and monitor baking equipment and temperature to control product quality, and 

• glaze and decorate with icing or cream. 

You will also work towards completing a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate III in Cake and Pastry.

The successful candidate must have a genuine passion for the baking industry, be willing to learn, motivated and committed to an apprenticeship.  You must also have reliable transport to get to Richmond by 7am.  

Hours to start with are Tuesday to Saturday 7am to 3pm.
