Their client is a respected Restaurant Group that has multiple locations throughout Sydney. They specialise in seafood, the highest quality beef and poultry and situated on the waterfront location in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Whether your guests are family, friends, colleagues or clients, they will provide you with the freshest food and service that shines, for every occasion.

 About the Role

You will be working 38 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster. You will be required to work in a team environment and work closely with the qualified chefs.  

As a 2nd and 3rd  year apprentice chef you will be required to complete a Certificate III in commercial cookery Course Code: SIT30816.  

Your roles and responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
Work effectively with others
Use food preparation equipment
Prepare dishes using basic methods of cookery
Prepare appetisers, salads, stocks, sauces and soups
Prepare poultry seafood & meat dishes
Cook food to meet special dietary requirements
Work effectively as a cook
Clean kitchen premises and equipment
Plan and cost basic menus
Use hygienic practices for food safety
 
About You

The position requires someone who has completed their 1st year of their apprenticeship and is looking for a company that will grow and develop them into amazing chef’s. You must be willing to learn how to put quality food on every single plate, have a keen eye for detail, ability to maintain food safety standards and also have a hands on attitude. Excellent team work skills and reliability are essential for this position. You must be a permanent resident or Australian Citizen and committed to completing a 3 year apprenticeship
